Susana Mijares Pena is the founder of The Six Law Group. Susana’s professional background in law is extensive and varied.
Qualified to practice law in Canada and Venezuela, Susana completed her Juris Doctor Law degree at the University of Western Ontario in London, and completed her Master of Laws with specialization in International Business at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. Additionally, Susana has also earned her Civil Law degree at the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela.
At The Six Law Group, Susana focuses on commercial and real estate law. Given her background and qualifications, Susana frequently advises Canadian and international clients on various legal matters, such as Latin American clients and their business in Canada. Susana also counsels small and medium-sized enterprises, private lenders and individual clients with their day-to-day matters and new ventures.
Susana’s Canadian legal career began at a full-service boutique firm in downtown Toronto where she was the head of the Real Estate group and lead counsel on several international transactions between Latin America and Canada.
Prior to becoming a lawyer in Canada, Susana practiced law at a full-service law firm in Caracas, Venezuela, where she was part of the Litigation and Employment group.
In addition to her passion for the law which she shares with her family as a fourth-generation lawyers, Susana loves fitness and sports. In her free time, you may find Susana in a hot pilates room, arguing about the complexities of life, or just dancing with her friends and family.
Susana is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
